A new type of coronavirus is raging in China. First of all, I sincerely hope that the situation will be settled as soon as possible.
In relation to this matter, as of today, our company has made the following requests to its employees. The following are excerpts from internal groupware.
1)Please wash your hands and gargle regularly.
2)There are masks and disinfectants at the entrance of the office. Please feel free to use it. For the time being, please use disinfectant when going in and out of the office.
3)Be sure to turn on the humidifier while you are in the office.
It is relatively safe to go on business trips because there are few travelers from China, but there are already four cases in Japan, and it is inevitable that the number will increase in the future.
If it should spread, I will consider working from home. Your health is a top priority.
Lastly, if you are not feeling well, please tell us honestly. I’m not suspecting infection, but I’m worried that if your immune system is weakened, you will be more susceptible to viral infection. Please be careful not to overdo it.
And there are two things I would like to ask you.
- Employees may remain masked during work or meetings. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
- In the unlikely event that the new coronavirus prevails, our company is considering telecommuting to protect its employees first. In that case, there is a possibility that we may request the postponement of some operations. Thank you for your understanding on this point.
